HOWTO add a blog entry

NOTE: This feature is only available to users in the "ISU-USA Board" user group.

  • STEP 1: You must have an account on the ISU*USA web site. Log in.
  • STEP 2: Go to the add blog entry page. This is located in the navigation menu on the left side of the page under "Add something new."
  • STEP 3: Add a title. Add text to the body. That's it. You're ready to post.
  • STEP 4: Click the preview button at the bottom of the page to see how the post will look.
  • STEP 5: Click the save button at the bottom of the page.

Here are a few other optional things you can do:

  • Edit after posting: Do you want to change something after you posted? Go to the post. There is a tab at the top labeled, "Edit." Click it. Change it. Save it. Post quick and edit as often as you like.
  • Save a draft: Above the Save and Preview buttons, there is a link that says "Publishing options." Click it and it will show three checkboxes. To save a draft, uncheck "Published." If you save it without checking Published, the post will only be visibile to you. If you edit the post, check Published, and save, the post will be visible to the public.
  • Post a notice to Twitter: Under the body, there is a section called "post to" By default this is checked. If this is checked, a link will be posted to to inform ISU*USA followers that there is a new post to view.
  • Add an attachment: Underneath the body, there is a link, "File attachments." Click this and it will show a text box that says, "Attach new file." Select a file, then click the "Attach" button. After the file is attached, a box will appear with the file name and a link, e.g., If you want to link to the file in your post, copy this link.
